The struggling Leafs (19-33-11) try to take advantage of Ottawa’s (36-25-4) flu-depleted roster.

After tying the game up late, it was all for naught as the Leafs fell to the Bruins in the shootout.

The pre-deadline Leafs (19-31-11) host the ‘Canes (24-30-7) tonight before their roster’s are presumably altered tomorrow.
The new look Leafs(17-28-11) host the Devils(35-17-2) tonight in a match all of Leafs nation is looking forward to.
The trade deadline is a sacred day among hockey fans globally. Whether it outdoes that of it’s brethren July 1st is an argument on it’s own, but we won’t dwell on that here. Today’s article is all about the upcoming trade deadline, and perhaps the last of it’s kind. Read the rest of this entry »

With Burke claiming that the playoffs are still in reach, we can safely assume (yet, we’ve known this all along) that tonight’s loss puts a major dent in Burke’s theory.
After being blow out by Washington Friday night, the Leafs (16-24-9) head to Nashville to take on the Predators (29-16-3).
Yes ladies and gents, the playoff run / parade route sparked by yesterday’s 4-0 win over Philadelphia is now dead. Again.
